Frequently Asked Questions:

Training Styles Explained

Weeks 1 & 2:

Think of these first two weeks as your foundation. You're learning the Program, finding your weights, and dialling in your technique.

Your main lifts are:

✓ Barbell Back Squat

✓ Dumbbell Bulgarian Split Squat

✓ Barbell Sumo Deadlift

These movements stay with you throughout the Program, so don't rush to lift heavy just yet. Focus on moving well first.

You're working across different sets and reps, giving you plenty of room to find what feels challenging for you. Pick a weight that challenges you but never at the expense of your form. Control over every set, every time.

The load builds block by block from here, so don't rush it. What you put in these two weeks is what sets you up for everything that comes after.

Weeks 3 & 4:

You've found your rhythm. Now it's time to push a little harder.

Your main lifts are:

✓ Banded Barbell Hip Thrust

✓ Barbell Reverse Lunge

✓ Barbell Back Squat

These are performed as pyramid sets, where you'll work through 15, 12, 10, then 8 reps, increasing the weight as the reps come down. You'll start lighter to prepare the muscles, then build to your heaviest set of eight. By the final set, every rep should feel earned.

Your sessions follow the same structure as Weeks 1 & 2 with the same warm-up, supersets and finisher. The only thing changing is how you load your main lifts.

Weeks 5 & 6:

This is the block you've been building towards. Weeks 5 and 6 are where you lift the heaviest loads of the entire Program.

Your main lifts are:

✓ Barbell Hip Thrust

✓ Dumbbell Bulgarian Split Squat

✓ Barbell Back Squat

These are performed using a 4 × 6 structure, meaning four sets of six reps at your heaviest working weight.

You'll also introduce 1¼ reps, where you lower down, come up a quarter, lower again, then drive all the way up. This keeps your muscles under tension for longer, making every rep work harder.

You'll also hit the occasional drop set this block, where at the end of a set you immediately reduce the weight and keep going without resting. It's a great way to push past fatigue and squeeze a little more out of the muscle when you're working this heavy.

The session structure stays exactly the same. The only difference is the intensity.

Nutritional Goal

We recommend selecting a goal of Lose Body Fat or Both for this training style. These options will place you in a calorie deficit to support fat loss while still providing the protein needed for muscle recovery. If your priority is stronger weight-loss results, Lose Body Fat will offer a more targeted and effective deficit. If you prefer a balanced approach that still supports muscle definition, Both is a great fit.
